For more than 2 decades young Queenslanders have participated in education programs about Queensland’s parliamentary processes and worked with Members of Parliament to develop and debate youth Bills in mock parliamentary processes. Given young people’s interest in influencing government decision-making, and in learning about Queensland’s democratic parliamentary processes, the Minister for Youth is now encouraging all Ministers to consider the issues raised in the Bills introduced in the youth parliament.

The Queensland Women's Strategy Community Implementation Plan includes a list of initiatives which outline how the government, business and community sectors are working together to achieve the collective vision for gender equality in Queensland. New initiatives and new actions will be added to the plan as work progresses, and as new ideas are generated and resources are identified. All Queenslanders are invited and encouraged to think about how they can help us to progress gender equality and to add to the plan. Achieving gender equality will require all Queenslanders to work together.
