What are your qualifications?

  • Bachelor of Science (Hons)
  • Postgraduate Diploma of Professional Psychology.

What does your role entail?

I work with individuals with challenging behaviours who are subject to restrictive practices, and clients at risk of harm to themselves or others. This entails conducting psychological assessments and providing positive behaviour support and therapeutic intervention.

Why did you choose to work for the Department of Communities, Child Safety and Disability Services?

I could see the organisation provided a diverse range of opportunities.

What do you like best about your job?

I like everything about my job, however upholding people’s human rights, increasing their quality of life, and watching individuals make progress toward their goals are some things that I like best.

What is your advice for a new graduate?

Take advantage of the many learning and development opportunities.

What is your advice for graduates applying for jobs?

Do it, it will be the best decision you have ever made.
